Sell Your CD
Selling your CD on CANtunes
is easy.
Here's how it works:
- Fill out our Sign-Up form
Answer some basic questions, like who
do we send cheques to? There is a one-time charge of $29.95CDN for
each CD you want to sell to cover the cost of scanning your cover, creating
sample tracks and creating your CD page. All of that takes about 45
minutes to an hour of work for us.
- You set your own selling price for your
CD
Whatever price you want to set your
CD at is fine with us. You know your fans and market more than we do.
- Send us 5 copies of your CD
We'll open up one copy of your CD to scan the cover, get the track listing
and create 30-second mp3 samples of all of the tracks. The other 4
CD's are kept ready for sale. When we need more CD's, we'll ask you to
send more
- We keep $4 from every CD sold
- We send you a cheque for your sales!
(Payments are sent each month for sales
greater than $10 and
also payments are sent at the end of the year)
What CANtunes
does for you:
- We'll create your very own web page for
your CD (www.cantunes.com/artist/yourname) that will show your CD cover, list
the tracks on the CD, offer up 30-second samples of each song on your CD,
links back to your own web site (if you have one) and your own artist information (bio, description, etc.).
- We make it easy for CANtunes
customers to find your CD by making it searchable by artist name, album
name, song title and your chosen keywords (band member names, city, etc).
- We process all credit card payments and
handle all packaging and shipping, so you can focus on making music.
- We'll send you an email every time
someone buys your CD
Other Stuff:
- CANtunes is completely NON-EXCLUSIVE!
That means you are welcome to sell your CD anywhere else you want. No
contracts and you maintain all rights.
- You DO NOT need a UPC Barcode to sell
your CD at CANtunes! Though getting a barcode for your CD may help
you with other retailers, you do not need one to sell your CD at CANtunes.
